The American GM-EMD F7 locomotives, manufactured by Electro-Motive Division (EMD), were iconic diesel-electric machines that left their mark on the railroad landscape of the United States. The Märklin 3362 offers a beautifully detailed representation of this legendary locomotive, specifically in the colors and style of the Santa Fe railroad company.
Model:
The set consists of three parts: two A-units and a B-unit, each carefully crafted and detailed to capture the spirit of the original locomotives. The locomotive is analog and features 3-pole drum-collector motors (DCM) and mechanical relays for switching the direction of travel. At 52 cm long and made entirely of metal, it is an impressive model on the rails.
Lighting and Features:
The locomotive is equipped with 19 volt bulbs for lighting. The model has a 2-point headlight and the lighting becomes brighter as the engine receives more current. Please note: the bulbs do not light up when the locomotive is stationary.
Material and Details:
The model is solidly built, with the body entirely made of die-cast metal and the chassis made of metal. The details are sharp and accurate, including the nickel-plated wire handrails and black horns on the roof.

The Märklin 3362 is a robust and impressive model, produced in 1992. Due to the fixed metal couplings between the parts, caution is required when handling, especially for children.
